Hi, welcome to my first ever web page. My name is Charli, named after my grandfather on my fathers side. I live in Oakland, Calif. I use to be a student at Mills College, in Olney Hall, an almost exclusive all girls school, but I transfered to UC Berkley in the fall of 1998. I'm 5'9" tall and 23 yrs old. I've just begin to explore the chat rooms with my beautiful girlfriends Amanda and Nina. They are both truly my dearest friends. I can't imagine my life without their friendship, they both mean that much to me. I work part time for SETI, and organization that is dedicated to searching the heavens for E.T life, in Mountain View, Calif. My major is Cosmology, the study of the Universe. The late Carl Sagen was my hero, as is Steven Hawkins, our modern day Einstein. When I was little, my dad and I would spend all night outside with his telescope and star charts. We still do. It's always so peaceful that I grew to love the night sky. The concept of time-space, the size of the universe and time itself, is a fascination of mine that I don't know if I can ever fully understand, but will continue to pursue in a career. I even have a real life 3rd magnitude star named after me, my dad bought it from an organization that was cataloging stars the year I was born. Its not very bright, but its clearly seen with binoculars if you know where to look. It's located in the Constellation Pagasus, 4 degrees west of Andromeda, the chained princess. One of my good friends, now a professional photographer took the pictures you see me displaying in the chathouse. We went to college together, but she graduated in spring 1998. I did some modeling during and just out of high school, for one of the big chain department stores for spring and summer wardrobes. I won't say which one, but if you check your old catalogs, you may recognize a few pictures of me with my big smile. I was late starting college, begining at age 22. I'm in my Sophomore year now. I worked 3 yrs at Livermore Labs as basically a gopher doing whatever they needed me to do. I actually managed to save almost all that I made over those three years after high school, to get me through these next years at school. That and my part time weekend job with SETI. The song you hear playing is called "Keeper of the Stars." Nina plays if for me every time I can get her near a piano. Listen to it if you can stay that long. It's a beautiful song, as peaceful and romantic as the night sky, and as pure as my love is for Nina and Amanda. Being in the chathouse is fun. I think I may be more softly spoken than Nina and Amanda, but together we are a force that can't be ignored, as you may have noticed. Drop me an e-mial if we've talked or would like to know more about me or the night sky. I'm as busy as I think I can ever be, but I'll try my best to answer everyone who is nice to me and not crude or sick. Thanks for stopping by. Now go back to the house and lets have more fun! | |||||||||||||||||||
